How UFOs can affect your business

All the "UFO shootdowns" this past week have me thinking about Larry Walters.

If you never heard or don’t recall, Larry was a 33-year-old truck driver who attached 45 weather balloons to a lawn chair, strapped on a parachute, and went for an unforgettable ride above southern California in July of 1982.

Larry floated for some 45 minutes. He was spotted by airline pilots at 16,000 feet!

Numb with cold, Larry used a BB pistol to shoot out some of the balloons. In his descent, he got tangled in some power lines which caused a partial blackout in Long Beach.

When asked what possessed him to do such a thing, the unharmed daredevil said, “A man can't just sit around.”

He also told The New York Times, “Since I was 13 years old, I've dreamed of going up into the clear blue sky in a weather balloon.”

I'll be honest. “Piloting a flying lawn chair” is NOT on my bucket list.

Still, Larry Walters reminds me that if I want to accomplish something unforgettable, I have to take action. I can’t just sit around.

What about you?

What big, outlandish thing are you wanting to achieve in your business or personal life in 2023?

I’ll go first. In my free time, I’m working on a novel. My goal for 2022 was to finish the first draft. I did that. Woohoo!

Now my goal is to revise, rewrite, and polish my manuscript—and try to find an agent before the end of the year.

I’d love to hear about your big dream. Email me back and inspire me!

Here's to flying high in work and life!
